Past Projects

Sixth Project

Our sixth project was hand puppets for the shoe boxes that our church packs for Operation Christmas Child.  The church packed 223 boxes and we completed 102 hand puppets to put in the boxes.  We had a lot of help making the puppets- we even had new faces (and kids!) come sew.

Fifth Project

Our fifth project was making Little Dresses for Africa.  We completed 28 dresses!  They were so fun to make and easy to sew.

You can read more about this project HERE.

Fourth Project

Our fourth project was making neck pillows and walker/wheel chair bags for Evergreen Nursing Home in Harmony, PA.  We completed 13 neck pillows and 16 walker bags.  It was a great project and each item was a quick, easy sew!  The activities director was VERY excited when we dropped them off!

You can read more (and see pictures) of this project HERE.

Third Project

Our third project was to make welcome bags for the women's ministry at HZ.  They put on a weekend retreat in September and wanted to put some goodies in a handmade bag for each guest.  We completed 55 bags for the event.  The event took place in September 2015 and each guest that received a bag loved it!

You can read about the project HERE.

Second Project

Our second project was to make reusable grocery bags to send to Mexico with HZ's Mission Team.  We completed 88 bags and they were very well received!!  They were hand-delivered by members of the Mexico Mission Team in July 2015 (AFTER they were loaded to the brim with groceries!)

You can read about the project HERE.

First Project

Our first project was making dolls to include in the shoe boxes that our church packs and gives to Operation Christmas Child.  We completed 201 dolls and they were put into the boxes in November 2014.

If you have not heard of Operation Christmas Child, please check Samaritan's Purse's website for more information.

The pattern that we used for the dolls came from Dolls and Daydreams.
